Music played on electronically amplified instruments with an accented beat. Although a technical definition, the truth of what defines Rock and Roll lies deeper, perhaps beyond the domain of mere words. Having said that, i would like to take you on an interactive and visually pleasing journey through the sweaty concerts, euphoric solos and twisted personalities that is the Rise of Rock.

As truthful to my art as I may be, to claim that personal opinions haven't slithered it's way through my unbiased storytelling would be dishonest. Furthermore, one can't go further without recognizing the fact that 'Rock' and 'Rock and Roll' is referring to the genre that developed in the 40's and 50's in the western world (mainly the U.S. and U.K.). The blatant ignorance of any other geographical origination of the genre is an unfortunate but deliberate attempt to confine the size of this project. The content is largely based of John Covach and Andrew Floyd's 2006 book "Whats That Sound? An Introduction to Rock and It's History"
